چکیده

The objective of this paper is to adequately model a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based type-3 wind turbine under grid unbalance by considering not only positive and negative-sequence circuits but also the 3rd harmonic circuit. This sequence component caused frequency coupling with 60-Hz component. It zero-sequence cannot be got rid delta-connected transformers. Hence, accurate modeling necessary capture In addition modeling, we design an efficient algorithm for steady-state analysis formulating problem as optimization problem. A set equality constraints has been formed reflect relationship voltage, current, power in ac circuits, dc circuit, different frames. formulation defined YALMIP, MATLAB interface problems. then solved nonlinear solver. results are phasors components at steady state. They have validated obtained from Fourier transforms electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation results. contributes both sophisticated phasor DFIG consideration computing procedure use advanced solvers.

Harmonic Current Predictors for Wind Turbines

The harmonic impact caused by wind turbines should be carefully investigated before wind turbines are interconnected. However, the harmonic currents of wind turbines are not easily predicted due to the variations of wind speed. If the harmonic current outputs can be predicted accurately, the harmonic impact of wind turbines and wind farms for power grids can be analyzed efficiently. Therefore, ...

Optimizing the arrangement and the selection of turbines for wind farms subject to varying wind conditions

The development of large scale wind farms that can compete with conventional energy resources presents significant challenges to today’s wind energy industry. A powerful solution to these daunting challenges can be offered by a synergistic consideration of the key design elements (turbine selection and placement) and the variations in the natural resource. This paper significantly advances the ...

Krformance Analysis of Grid Connected Induction Generators Driven by Hydro/wind Turbines including Grid Abnormalities

This paper is the result of a study undertaken to assess the steady state and transient behavior of an Induction Generator (IG) driven by Mini Hydro or Wind turbines under grid abnormalities, as encountered in practice. Behavior under varying input power typically observed in wind machines is also reported. A computer simulation study was undertaken and results on a 220 KW Hydro machine and 55 ...

Harmonic Adaptability Remote Testing Method for Offshore Wind Turbines

Harmonic adaptability (HA) capability is required for large-scale onshore and offshore wind turbines (WTs) connected to the grid. To ensure that the distortion of the harmonic voltage at the grid access point generated by grid simulator is in accordance with the required value, this paper proposes an on-site HA remote testing method for offshore WTs to eliminate submarine cable effects. The dev...

An Aeroacoustic Analysis of Wind Turbines*

This paper describes computational aeroacoustic methods that are being applied to predict the noise radiated by wind turbines. Since the wind turbine noise problem is very challenging, only some of the important noise sources and mechanisms are being considered. These are airfoil self-noise, the effects of blade rotation, and the propagation of sound over large distances. Two aspects of airfoil...
